New Glasgow Build

About this Build

Habitat for Humanity will be starting a home build project on Louis Road in New Glasgow, with an anticipated groundbreaking date in June. Through the collaborative efforts of volunteers, donors, community partners and Habitat homeowners, we will lay the foundation for better, healthier lives for a family in Pictou County.

In accordance with Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s commitment to addressing systemic barriers to homeownership opportunities, this build project has been designated for Black and African Nova Scotian applicants. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home, and by focusing on communities that have historically faced barriers to homeownership, we aim to promote equity and inclusion in our housing initiatives.

This project would not be possible without the strong support of our partners and volunteers:

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)
The Province of Nova Scotia
The Town of New Glasgow
Trinity Energy Group
TNB Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning Ltd.
Matheson Windows & Doors
Pioneer Coal Limited

and many others!
