About this Build
Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia broke ground on a new home on Louis Street in New Glasgow. The initiative marks another step forward in the non-profit’s work to help families in Nova Scotia build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.
This build is located in a historically Black community. In accordance with Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s commitment to addressing systemic barriers to homeownership opportunities, we are prioritizing Black and African Nova Scotian applicants for this home. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home, and by focusing on communities that have historically faced barriers to homeownership, we aim to promote equity and inclusion in our housing initiatives.
