Event Details

Habitat’s HUGE House Party will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 20, 2024, from 7 pm to midnight. Throughout the evening, more than 600 attendees will gather to enjoy award-winning live local music, delicious food, exciting opportunities to win prizes and more while raising support for Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s work to help families in Nova Scotia build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership. 

To date, the following event details have been confirmed:

  • Three performances from top East Coast artists, including a headline performance by a Juno-award-winning Nova Scotia musician.
  • Raffle for exclusive prizes, including one (1) roundtrip flight for two (2) guests to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination.*
  • A 50/50 draw supporting Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia
  • Unique door prizes
  • The opportunity to bid on exciting items

The Entertainment

Robb Wells as Ricky LaFleure

Originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, filmmaker Robb Wells grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where he now lives. Wells is best known for his role as Ricky in the award-winning hit series TRAILER PARK BOYS and the numerous films produced under the Trailer Park Boys banner. A writer, director and producer on many of the Trailer Park Boys titles, Wells, along with his TPB co-stars John Paul Tremblay and Mike Smith, purchased the show rights in 2013 and founded the internet streaming network Swearnet. Wells recently starred in Bubbles and the Shitrockers with Mike Smith and John Paul TremblayHe also stars in the new hit series, THE TRADES, and he is also a producer on the series.

Robb Wells will appear in character as Ricky as Habitat’s HUGE House Party’s “party host,” celebrating with guests, posing for photographs and enjoying the festivities alongside everyone throughout the event!


Shameless is Atlantic Canada’s best-known party band. Fronted by the endless energy of singer/guitarist Shawn Birt and featuring some of the best musicians in all of Nova Scotia, Shameless always bring an exciting energy to every show. The set list includes music from all genres, including rock and roll, country and even some Maritime favourites. Shameless always guarantees a good time!

DJ Karate Kactus

Karate Kactus is an international DJ and producer, well-known within the East Coast music scene for his electrifying performances. His sound blends high-energy beats with infectious melodies, with sets that switch seamlessly between Top 40 hits, house music, hip-hop and R&B. “Shy,” his official debut single featuring fellow Canadian artist FAANGS, came out on Dreaming Out Loud Records in 2019. The song has racked up over a million streams and earned a nomination for an East Coast Music Award. Karate Kactus tours across Canada and is the resident DJ for multiple clubs on the East Coast.
