This is the first Habitat home to be built in Oxford, Nova Scotia – but certainly not the last. Shortly after announcing the 10-home development in the Town of Oxford in 2015, the building of the home began in May 2015, hosting many community volunteers from the surrounding area. This home is possible through the Title Home Sponsorship from Oxford Frozen Foods, Corrections Canada (CORCAN) and the Town of Oxford.
The Fortune family were welcomed into their home on Thursday, April 7 2016.

The first Habitat home in Oxford, Nova Scotia will be located on Little River Road, just off Lower Main Street in Oxford. A parcel of land in this location, as well as the servicing of lots, has been generously donated by the Town of Oxford for a number of Habitat homes, to be built over the next several years.
